My aim as a private teacher is to create in my scholars a deep understanding along with confidence at tests and managing to deal with unexplored cases. The base of my viewpoint is the concept that learning occurs in an area of reciprocal respect wherein the learner is supported to think and find links on their own. According to my experience one-to-one private tuition has a special importance to scholars because of the opportunity to break down the scholars' own obstacles to learning in a manner that lays the roots for a lasting and deep understanding of the subject matter.
Analytic thinking
My approach varies depending on the student's needs and learning style. But, my teaching theory is based on stimulating learners to think for themselves, operating existing models as long as it can be. |My opinion is that it is extremely important to supply students with a working skills and to give them analytical skills for development upon this knowledge. Training anyone to think analytically is at the base of what exactly a scholar have to withdraw off any subject training.
We learn through examples
Mentoring students belongs to the most durable improvements a tutor can do, and it is a process, which I find pleasurable and beneficial. From my experience, I discovered the effect of involving learners with the help of models and of pitching material at a degree that implies perception though not always knowledge, blending the known with the unknown within a combination that gives the student the feeling of probability instead of that one of impossibility that impressive and official approaches may lay down.
My teaching tricks
I begin with themes the students are good with and proceed gradually to more complicated sectors seeing that their confidence is being built. I apply questions and examples to monitor getting permanently. I will not lecture to scholars or request them to remember information. Nor do I do the learners' investigation for them!
I mainly involve test-style or former paper questions in order to evaluate, work at and improve the learner's perception and capacity. I also give a lot of importance to a number of the less vital but obvious skills for example, essay structure and technique, logical thought, and the useful use of numbers and graphs.
